You can use the same method for installing upgrades as described in Upgrading Meridian client computers automatically to install certain hotfixes automatically.
Note This method requires that the hotfix be an executable file. Many hotfixes are distributed as replacement DLLs that must be installed manually. Such hotfixes cannot be deployed automatically using this method and must be installed according to the instructions for that particular hotfix.
To prepare the Meridian server to deploy an executable hotfix automatically:
Add a line to end of the AMUpdate.ini file that specifies the hotfix file to run and an optional dependent upgrade name. For example:
HotFixXYZ=HotFixXYZ.exe,BCMeridian2015
This will run the HotFixXYZ.exe setup file, but only after the BCMeridian2015 upgrade has been installed because the hotfix depends on the version of Meridian that is installed by the setup file executed by the automatic upgrade named BCMeridian2015. If the hotfix does not require a specific version of Meridian to be installed already, the upgrade name can be omitted.
